Joe is based in Melbourne, Australia and from April through to October he joins the world's elite endurance athletes in Boulder, Colorado from where he will launch his 2008 attack on the US racing circuit. |

European Long Course Champ! |
I just had the race of my life and won the European Long Course Champs in Gerardmer, France. I was new to the distance of 4/120/30 but was confident that I had been putting in the work back in Boulder and I was well rested leading up to the race with August being a quiet month on the race calendar. The course was brutal with each 40km loop on the bike including a 2km climb at 6%, a 5km climb at 5.2% and a 5.5km climb at 5.7%! The run wasn’t that easy either with four 7.5km undulating loops around the beautiful lake in Gerardmer. For my second season, I was racing for my birth country, Great Britain, alongside fellow representative Paul Amey.
